Description: A four-week course taught by Roger B. Blumberg at Columbia University, as part of the Summer Program for High School Students, part of the College Preparation course. The purpose of this Web site is to help students with their work, to encourage them to learn more about the material studied, to foster a community between the students in different sections of the course, and to provide a resource that will continue beyond the four weeks at Columbia. Each week notes from the class will be posted, as well as copies of the homework assignments, with answers, once the due date has passed. Finally, there is the course Reference page that includes mathematics sites useful for this course and/or for futher study, along with search engines for student investigations.
