|The Institute offers a software package (DETECT) that researchers (usually in psychology, social psychology, sociology, management, business, economics, political science, and communication) use to decide whether individual-level data should be aggregated to the group level. The user can consider any number of levels in one analysis; for example, in organizational studies six levels of analysis can be considered at one time: individual, work group, department, division, organization, and industry. The software assesses the degree to which any bivariate, set of bivariate, or multiple correlations are based on the set of levels of analysis of interest, performing what is called Within And Between Analysis (WABA). DETECT is compatible with Windows™ 95, 98, NT, 2000, and XP.|
