| "...fractals are an art form. The mathematics provides the form, but it is up to the individual creator (artist) to choose the boundaries, colors, and manner of presentation of each fractal." Three categories: "standard" fractal fare, reproducible with any good fractal calculation program and an eye for color; fractals wrapped around the surfaces of spheres, overlayed fractals, or height maps created from the values of each point of the fractal; and newer fractals created since July 1997. All images were created using FractInt, a freeware IBM compatible program that calculates with integer math and contains many editing tools. | |
