Description: Three sets of JavaSketchpad transformations designed for seventh graders participating in Sinclair's ongoing research into the use and design of pre-constructed web-based dynamic geometry sketches. Reflections include Reflection Concepts, Where's the Mirror? and Which ones are Congruent -- and why? Rotations include Rotation Concepts, It's All about Centers, Pinwheel Properties, and More Pinwheels. Translations include Using Vectors, Tessellate with Quadrilaterals, Tiling with Triangles, and Weird Shapes. With links to research projects; .gsp downloads from Sinclair's NCTM presentation "Using Pre-constructed Sketches to Develop Geometry Thinking Skills"; and sketches for the 1999 Ontario Mathematics Olympics, Sinclair's doctoral research, and "some that are just for fun."
