Description: Currently a member of the computer systems and software department at the IBM Watson Research Center in New York, Chaitin created algorithmic information theory, which combines, among other elements, Shannon's information theory and Turing's theory of computability. This site includes recent and selected older publications (most available either on the Web or in PostScript form), understandable papers on incompleteness, a list of books that discuss Chaitin's ideas, and a list of his publications.
