|The goal of the IMAGE mission's education and public outreach program (POETRY) is to explain how solar storms affect the Earth, and to correct misconceptions about Earth's magnetic field, its radiation belts, and why we have aurora. Read the latest information about auroral science and the Earth's magnetic field. Education resources include classroom activities and study guides; math worksheets that review pre-algebra skills along with illustrated space science topics; a tutorial on calculating the age of sunlight; and an archive of weekly math, science, reading and art problems for grades 8-12, available as MS Word document downloads. The Multimedia Gallery offers pictures, movies (real data, computer models, and simulations), and "unusual sounds from space." Also, archives of questions and answers sent to the "Ask the Space Scientist" service.|
