| A service that develops, distributes, scores, and reports the results of tests that measure student readiness for mathematics courses from first year algebra to calculus. The primary goal of the Mathematics Diagnostic Testing Project (MDTP) is to help teachers prepare students for further study in mathematics by identifying the strengths and weaknesses in students' math skills and concepts. MDTP provides services to California teachers of grades 6-12 free of charge; this includes both testing materials and scoring services for its multiple choice tests, some of which they offer in Spanish. MDTP also publishes newsletters, holds regional conferences to discuss curricular issues, and serves as a clearinghouse helping to provide information about materials and programs designed to strengthen mathematics education in California. | |
