Description: The alliance between Texas Instruments and USA TODAY Education provides teachers with activities that draw on USA Today's newspaper articles and TI graphing calculators to explore topics in algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, calculus, and statistics. The pre-algebra activities are designed for use with the TI-73, TI-73 Explorer, TI-83 Plus and TI-83 Plus Silver Edition. All other activities are designed for use with the TI-83 Plus and TI-83 Plus Silver Edition. Activity resources include a teacher's guide, student handout, graphic transparency and technology guide. The teacher's guide consists of classroom management tips, activity extensions, cross-curricular connections, evaluation and assessment tools and correlations to NCTM Standards.
