|CEEE seeks to promote greater participation of underrepresented groups in the sciences, and to encourage academic excellence for all. It hosts national conferences, publishes K-12 curriculum items and diversity materials, and runs a number of projects and programs. Programs include GirlTECH, Computer Science Computing and Mentoring Partnership, and Engineering Bridges. Projects include: Educational, Outreach and Training Partnership for Advanced Computational Infrastructure (EOT-PACI); Alliances for Graduate Education and the Professoriate at Rice (AGEPR); Operation Science, Math, and Relevant Technology (SMART); The South Texas Academy and Milby Science Institute Summer Intern Program (STMP); Houston Urban Learning Initiatives Networked Community (HULINC); Houston Alliance for Minority Participation (AMP); Expanding Your Horizons in Science and Mathematics (EYH).|
