|"Geomagnetic field models are used in navigation, geophysical surveys, oil production, and in scientific studies ranging from the upper atmosphere to the Earth's deep interior." In particular, produce free maps online using the BGS's World Magnetic Model (WMM), a navigation and altitude reference system; and the International Geomagnetic Reference Field (IGRF), a global model of the geomagnetic field which calculates spot values of the geomagnetic field vector, from the Earth's core out into space.|
