| Ruth Carver, Germantown Academy | |
| Independent projects exploring topics in mathematics not part of the curriculum, by students in Ruth Carver's Spring Geometry Honors classes at Germantown Academy in Pennsylvania. Books, magazines, and the Internet were used for their research, with class presentations given that involved hands-on activities. Some of their work, from multicultural math games, pages on fractals, chaos theory, gambling odds, the Golden Ratio, origami, and ancient number systems, to Math and Music: the making of violins and violas, and Sketchpad animations, is available on the Web. | |
