| George Paul Csicsery, and the Mathematical Association of America (MAA) | |
| Hard Problems is a feature documentary about the students who represented the United States at the 2006 International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO). The film shows the dedication and perseverance of the six American high school students, the rigorous preparation they undertake, their individuality, and the joy they get out of solving challenging problems in competition with 500 others from 90 countries in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Above all, Hard Problems captures the spirit of math competitions at the highest level. The 82-minute production, filmed in high definition, premiered in January, 2008. PBS television stations will show a one-hour version from fall 2009 through 2013. Check the site for local air dates. | |
