Description: By combining the history of mathematics with the teaching and learning of mathematics, the International Study Group on the Relations between History and Pedagogy of Mathematics links the past and the future of mathematics. The group stresses the conception of mathematics as a living science -- one with a "long history, a vivid present and an as yet unforeseen future." Read newsletters and announcements; learn about conferences, such as past satellite meetings of the International Congress on Mathematical Education. HPM is an affiliate of the International Commission on Mathematical Instruction (ICMI).
