Description: These materials are a translation of the Spanish materials created by the Instituto de Informática Educativa (IIE), Universidad de la Frontera, Temuco, Chile. The first and second units have been translated into English, and the third unit is available in Spanish through this Queen's University site. The units offer modeling, practice, assessment, and student and teacher guides for each topic: Solving Addition Problems, Counting and Numbers, and Geometry in Our World. The English translation was made by Queen's University, Canada, through a grant from Microsoft. IIE's original versions are available in Spanish.
