| This generalization software microworld presents the abstractions of algebra in a visual format. With MiGen's simple sequences of coloured tiles, young learners construct patterns (eGeneraliser), express their structure and relationships (eXpresser), refine their work, and compare approaches (eCollaborator). Failure to generalise results in the visual image being messed up. Additional tools give teachers dynamic information about students' progress. See also the project's blog. | |
