|"At the forefront of the 'Games for Good' and 'Serious Games' movements," this research design and development team investigates game-based learning environments. Funded in part by the National Science Foundation (NSF), EdGE supports and measures engagement in productive scientific collaboration, public science learning, and crowdsourcing in games. Access to Leveling Up games Impulse! and Quantum Spectre available upon request. Research publications include "The Canary's Not Dead, It's Just Resting: The Productive Failure of a Science-Based Augmented-Reality Game"; "Martian Boneyards: Scientific Inquiry in an MMO Game"; and "Martian Boneyards: Can a Community of Players be a Community of Practice?"|
