Description: Interactive proof-of-concept simulations designed to engender student conversation, as based on the curriculum design ideas of Dan Meyer: ice cream carts, about shortest distances and triangle centers; squares, about quadrilaterals; Tacocart, a variation of the river-crossing calculus optimization problem; and triangles, about side-angle-side (SAS) congruence and angle-angle-angle (AAA) constructions. Each JavaScript manipulative tabulates the rules, thoughts, or other results of previous visitors' freehand sketches.
