Description: For mathematicians, the 2010 Fields Medalist offers his publications, lecture notes for students, errata sheets, and his research into collisional kinetic theory (Boltzmann type), collisionless kinetic theory (Vlasov type), and optimal transport. "For everybody," the director of the Institut Henri Poincaré provides audio (RFI, France Info, and other radio broadcasts), video (television and TED talks), and writings, which include Cartes Blanches essays for Le Monde such as "Le pouvoir de la feuille qui se détache," "De la mer violette à la mathématique bleue," "Les statistiques ne sont pas toujours des mensonges," "Désordre mathématique contre déraison humaine," and "Dans les entrailles des cygnes noirs."
