|A research and development center aimed at understanding difficulties students have with fractions. Center publications include "Improving At-Risk Learners' Understanding of Fractions," published in the Journal of Educational Psychology; "Developmental and individual differences in understanding of fractions" (from Developmental Psychology); and "Does Working Memory Moderate the Effects of Fraction Intervention? An Aptitude-Treatment Interaction." The Center, which received a grant from the U.S. Department of Education's Institute of Education Sciences (IES), has four Principal Investigators: Nancy Jordan (University of Delaware), Lynn Fuchs (Vanderbilt University), Robert Siegler (Carnegie Mellon University), and Russell Gersten (Instructional Research Group).
