| Paul Dooley | |
| A tutorial from Australia designed to help 10-16-year-olds develop mathematical problem-solving ability, with five SETs of 20 problems typical to many math competitions. Students are given a Training Problem to solve, with necessary background theory, hints, and advice on strategies provided, followed by a parallel problem where no support is given. At the completion of each SET students receive a certificate summarizing their progress. With some interesting history, links to online Mathematics competitions, and a collection of Java game applets on the site (the Arcade) which the author uses to develop students' logical thinking and basic number skills. | |
