| A nonprofit educational organization devoted to informing people about Logo and supporting them in their use of Logo-based software and learning environments. The site includes links for workshops and seminars; books and videos; Logo software (at discount prices or free); a newsletter; links to other Logo sites; discussion and user groups; and papers. Logo programming environments (sometimes called turtle geometry) are designed to support constructive learning. Constructivism views knowledge as being created by learners in their own minds through interaction with other people and the world around them. This theory is most closely associated with Jean Piaget, the Swiss psychologist who studied and documented the learning processes of young children. | |
