| Philip Dorrell | |
| A Java applet which presents the integers as a scrollable rectangular grid of cells, each cell displaying one number. Different modes illustrate different mathematical topics by defining the user's interaction with the grid in terms of response to mouse clicks and color backgrounds for the numbers. The applet may be installed on the user's own system. Current topics include: arithmetic operations, highest common factors (HCF), primes, factorization, multiples, the Euclidean algorithm, casting out nines, modulo arithmetic, and the Sieve of Eratosthenes. There are test modes and exploring modes. You'll need Netscape 4.5 or Explorer 4.0 (or higher versions) in order to run this applet. | |
