|The Society was established for the promotion and extension of mathematical knowledge. To this end the Society undertakes various publications and holds regular meetings, conferences and symposia. It is the major British learned society for Mathematics, with a nationwide membership, plus several hundred overseas members. Information on grants, job/courses, meetings, policy, and publications, and links to other sites, with a table of contents, a comprehensive site index, and a search engine.|
