|John Allen Paulos is a mathematician and author of the books Mathematics and Humor, I Think, Therefore I Laugh, Innumeracy - Mathematical Illiteracy and Its Consequences, Beyond Numeracy - Ruminations of a Numbers Man, A Mathematician Reads the Newspaper,and Once Upon a Number. These books examine the logic of philosophy, humor, and even emotion, and the consequences of mathematical illiteracy.
