Bridges Planning Discussion
From Math and Art
I'll be going to Donostia with a few days to spare and hope to visit a bit of northern Spain--my first time in the country! Can anyone make suggestions about not-to-miss parts? Alas, I won't have time to make a Math and Art pilgrimage to the Alhambra. Gene
- A friend who will be in Donostia, but is more adept at email than clicking web pages has suggested El Escorial in Madrid, a very interesting looking place, indeed. But I'd like to experience northern Spain in more depth, Gauding around, etc. What's special there? Gene
Ok, after the fact here's a page that I wish I'd been able to get up before the conference! Well, some folks were able to look at it and try my suggestions--only good feedback thusfar.
Incidentally, I was able to Gaudi about after the conference and went to the restaurant in the building he designed in Comillas. Food was pretty tame but building is wild. A trip only for Gaudi fanatics, but it was near the caves that Dirk visited and enjoyed (closed when we were there, alas).
