[edit] Exhibits
For the 5th consecutive year, an exhibition of mathematical art will be held in conjunction with the Joint Mathematics Meetings. This year's exhibition will be held in the exhibits hall, from January 6-9, 2008, at the San Diego Convention Center. The exhibition and past exhibitions are chronicled online at the Bridges Conference website (http://www.bridgesmathart.org/amsmaa.html). With over 40 artists represented, the 2008 exhibition is the most comprehensive to date. Robert Fathauer was the curator of the exhibition, and the website was prepared by Anne Burns. The exhibition was juried by Robert and Anne, along with Nat Friedman, Rinus Roelofs, and Reza Sarhangi. This year’s exhibition is dedicated to Magnus Wenninger, whose 3D models of 4D polytopes will be featured (see attached jpeg). For the first time, a print exhibition catalog will be prepared. It is expected to be available for purchase at the conference and afterward at www.mathartfun.com.
