NCTM San Diego
Presentation Summary

This is the summary of a presentation given at the 74th Annual NCTM Meeting, 25-28 April 1996, San Diego, CA.

This workshop will provide the participants with the opportunity to experience several scoring models for open-ended questions. These models are used to engage students actively in evaluating their own and others' responses while using a scoring rubric. The participants will evaluate actual student papers while learning how to implement these models in their own classrooms and a number of open-ended questions and follow-up journal prompts used as a resource.Sue Cottine (Oak Crest Junior High, Encinitas,CA)
