Back to NCTM San Diego: Assessment

This is the summary of a presentation given at the 74th Annual NCTM Meeting, 25-28 April 1996, San Diego, CA.

Attendees will participate in thought-provoking investigations that they can take back to their classrooms to get their students thinking, talking , and doing mathematics. Process and communication of mathematics should be the focus of all mathematics instruction. This session will provide suggestions for actively engaging students in mathematics and Assessment techniques for these activities will be discussed.
