Presentation Summary


This is the summary of a presentation given at the 74th Annual NCTM Meeting, 25-28 April 1996, San Diego, CA.

Three or four student labs will be presented using a laptop computer with an appropriate projection system. These labs are at the Precalculus and Calculus level. The labs have an introduction which uses Powerpoint and/or Mathtype. The labs use the computer algebra system DERIVE. Current prepared labs include an introductory lab, "Don't Drink and DERIVE", "The Wedding Ring", "America's Cup", "The Windy City" and "Manufacturing Environmental Problems".
