Alaska's Wolves and Caribou: Uses and Limits of Math Modeling in Policy Making

In this hands-on workshop, we will use HabiTechTH software and off-line activities to model the relationship between wolves and caribou. What can our models capture? What must they leave out? We'll discuss these questions as we use the models to create policy for the Alaskan govt. Wolves and Caribou is a unit written by the Middle School Math through Applications Project (MMAP) at the Institute for Research on Learning.
