NCTM San Diego
Presentation Summary

This is the summary of a presentation given at the 74th Annual NCTM Meeting, 25-28 April 1996, San Diego, CA.

The TI-92 is the first of a new generation of inexpensive, hand-held computers for math students with built-in DERIVE like computer symbolic algebra and an almost complete version of CABRI II computer interactive geometry. This new tool will significantly accelerate mathematics curriculum reform by making practical the implementation of the computer technology goals for all students recommended by the NCTM Standards. We will explore together with hands-on activities some of the many implications this new tool brings to the teaching and learning of mathematics. TI-92's will be loaned to all participants.Bert K.
