| Description: |
Activity simulates the planning of an airstrike mission on a facility defended by surface-to-air missiles (SAM's). Students are asked to determine the minimum number of aircraft needed to destroy the target, to a 99% confidence level, given the presence of n SAM's and probabilities that the SAM's and bombs will hit their targets. The simulation can be run repeatedly. Adjustable numbers of aircraft, SAM's, and accuracy probabilities allow for a sensitivity analysis. |
