| Description: | Students will use the data from the USA TODAY Snapshot¨ "World population milestones" to explore and explain the trends in the world population. Students will create two scatter plots from the data and find exponential models to fit the scatter plots using the regression capabilities of the TI graphing handheld. Students will use the exponential models to predict the world population in the year 2013 and then compare their answers with the projected population in the Snapshot.
