Student Review (Not based on classroom experience)Reviewer: Becky444, Dec 5 2005 12:00AM |
Review based on: I discovered this tool by searching on the Math Tools DL. I decided to explore it because no one had rated or reviewed it yet. |
Appropriate for: introduction to a concept, practice of skills and understandings |
Other Comments: This introduces students to the cartesian plane and gives practice naming plotted points. There is a lot of reading, which is one drawback to the tool. |
What math does one need to know to use the resource? You need to know how to count and understand a bit about positive and negative numbers, but as long as a student has adequate reading comprehension skills, the tool is easy to use. |
What hardware expertise does one need to learn to use the resource? You need to know how to use a mouse and navigate between webpages, and how to type into text boxes. |
How hard was it for you to learn? Easy |
Explanation: At some points, I followed the given instructions and nothing happened, so I just went to the next page. Also, on the practice page, when I named all of the points, it never gave feedback about whether I was right or wrong. I think that feedback is necessary. |
Ability to meet my goals: Effective |
