Review based on: I discovered this tool during an exploration of MathTools as part of Drexel University's Educational Game Design class. |
Appropriate for: introduction to a concept, practice of skills and understandings |
Other Comments: This tool does a nice job of illustrating how a three-dimensional box can be broken down into its flat components. The user can also fill the box with various sized blocks, thus visualizing the concept of volume. |
What math does one need to know to use the resource? Basic geometric concepts: area, volume, etc. |
What hardware expertise does one need to learn to use the resource? None |
How hard was it for you to learn? Easy |
Explanation: I think that this tool could be explained a bit better, and that the instructions should not be hidden upon getting to the page, but it is easy to learn simply by experimenting with it. |
Ability to meet my goals: Effective |
