Other Comments: The first thing I noticed about this tool is that students would be excited about it because it has to do with pizza-it got them hooked. The other great things about this tool is that it's very informative. It teaches a great deal in a sequential manner of how to understand fractions and gives several chances for practice. I also like how it gives feedback right away of how well students did on the questions. Something I would like to see happen with this tool is maybe make the pizza at the top of the page a manipulative that can be moved/altered to students can play with it to visually show the answer the the question about the pizza. A great resource to help enhance fraction lessons or to challenge those students who are ahead of the game! |
What math does one need to know to use the resource? fractions |
What hardware expertise does one need to learn to use the resource? internet (back button), mouse skills |
What extra things must be done to make it work? nothing |
How hard was it for you to learn? Ok |
Explanation: Depending on the grade level I think it could be difficult if used as a stand alone lesson. The most confusing thing to me was the separation of the original statement about the pizza at the top and the question being down at the bottom. |
Ability to meet my goals: Effective |
