Review based on: I discovered this tool because I was looking for some resources I could use in a project I am doing on how to find the area of a regular polygon. I just did a search in the Math Tools library for "polygon area." |
Appropriate for: practice of skills and understandings |
Other Comments: This tool visually illustrates the idea of how area changes as the number of sides of the polygon changes. |
What math does one need to know to use the resource? Formula for area of a triangle. |
What hardware expertise does one need to learn to use the resource? Geometer's Sketchpad |
What extra things must be done to make it work? You just download the Sketchpad file. You must have GSP on your computer in order for it to work effectively. |
How hard was it for you to learn? Easy |
Explanation: I just opened up the file and clicked on the links and it worked. There were no advanced steps that I had to try or work into. |
Ability to meet my goals: Effective |
