This would serve as a great reinforcement tool, allowing students to practice counting money and making a dollar. This is a wonderful tool because you can change the activity -- either answering how much money, paying exact amount, or making a dollar. This variety tests students in more than one way.
What math does one need to know to use the resource?
You need to know the value of coins, and be able to add those values together.
What hardware expertise does one need to learn to use the resource?
Very little -- simply keying in the amount of money shown on the screen. Students can click titles at the bottom to change the activity.
How hard was it for you to learn?
Very Easy
Explanation:
This tool would be easy for anyone to use who knows how to count money! There is no reading to do before hand, and no confusion with this activity.

You need to have experience sorting by size, shape and color.

None.
How hard was it for you to learn?
Easy
Explanation:
The directions are clear. Once you read that the blocks IN the circle all fit the same rule it is just a matter of clicking and dragging in other attribute blocks that fit the rule. Be sure to note that you shouldn't check until you've put everything in the circle that you believe belongs- it won't check each one for correctness.

There are varying difficulty levels and different money concepts explored with one tool.
What math does one need to know to use the resource?
Value of coins as well as basic computation. Students should be comfortable counting money before using this tool.

None.

Just choose which concept you'd like to work on.

Very Easy
