personal experience
Appropriate for:

Other Comments:

What math does one need to know to use the resource?
Tool can be used with no experience in probability, but is more useful if you understand basic probability.
What hardware expertise does one need to learn to use the resource?
none
What extra things must be done to make it work?
In a class, the teacher would have to plan the investigation. The forest fire model is good for generating data, but does not teach a lesson in math by itself.
How hard was it for you to learn?
Easy
Explanation:
It is easy to get started, but there is a possibility for more to be discovered with use. There are options that can be used to make the tool fit your needs.
