I guess I wonder why your applet also thinks there are 2 roots that are
imaginary numbers? The factorization I did and the calculator Zeros function
indicate that all four roots are real.
x^4+2x^3x^24x2=0
(x+1)^2*(x^22) = 0
x = 1, 1, +sqrt(2), sqrt(2)
