parallel to one another. When two lines are parallel, there will be no
intersection between the two lines( or the two lines will never cross each
other) which means that those equations have no solution.
By rewriting the equation with y the subject we got
y = x  6/8 eq 1
y = x + 3/8  eq 2
both lines have gradient 1 which shows that they are parallel.
