Hi Katie,
I encourage you to take a look at the Sketchpad activities we're working on in
our Dynamic Number NSF project, which targets grades 2 through early algebra.
We're far enough along in our work to have four sets of number-sense
activities posted at http://www.kcptech.com/dynamicnumber/curriculum.html. Look
at the descriptions of these four groups, and download any you want to look at
in detail:
Scooting Tick Marks
Dynamic Number Grids
Make Your Own Fractions
Find the Secret Number
The activities require Sketchpad Version 5 (GSP5); you can open the activities
and try them out using an evaluation copy of GSP5 from the web (at
www.keypress.com ).
Good luck,
Stek
