Subject:   Addendum to my response

I forgot to add that java applet tools are particularly conducive to student
work outside of class (though applets requiring WebStart or xml may cause some
students "plugin" problems).  Most students don't have Sketchpad, Fathom, or
Mathematica at home (though most do have a spreadsheet of some form).
