Shooting balls is similar to Green Globs which has its roots in DOS. There were
other less effective knock offs like Algebra arcade.
NJN might still have been referring to Darts which pops balloons. I first
discovered Darts on the old Apple II computers. Apple gave away a darts game
free with the computer in those days.
