Wanda's idea about changing the scaling, to include things like large numbers,
multiples of two, or even (for advanced students) scales demarked in fractional
parts, such as 1/7, 2/7, etc, or decimals.

Another possibility (maybe the programming aspect would be too complicated):
make it competitive, so that, say, three or four students could take turns, with
the best time "winning."
