But do they need to actually know much vocabulary? What if you ask them to mess
around with the applet and see, for example, if they can make one of the graphs
steeper? What are other questions that you could ask them that rely very little
on any vocabularly? Talking about making it steeper is different from talking
about making it faster - steeper is a visual observation that doesn't require so
much specific knowledge about the graph.
