For those who would like to be able to compare and manipulate multiple
equations, here is an free tool (to download an install on Windows) which is
like a large screen, color version of a graphing calculator.

Some observations on day 1:
1) whenever possible 1-1 student to computer is better.
2) students need time to experiment with the software - they are better at it
than we are and we can learn a lot.
3) align curriculum with standards - tools are used to deliver the curriculum -
if it is not a good fit, do not use it.
4) keep looking for appropriate tools (and report them to MathTools)
5) REMEMBER - Tools are on the Internet - students can access then from home,
libraries, etc. if someone provides them with appropriate links.
Have a productive week.
