Calculus would have you integrate over the interval, then divide by the length
of the interval. The TI-83 can do this:
fnInt(Y1,x,lower,upper)/(upper - lower)
works, where the function is stored in Y1, and lower and upper are the endpoints
of the interval you're concerned with. fnInt is #9 under the Math menu.
