carry over into the real world and they could actually go out and replicate this
work. Then, as others have said, it would be just as important to discuss the
real life variances such as lack of a constant speed, differences in terrain,
weather conditions, physical stamina, etc. When students realize that what we
are working with is actual and potentially found in their world, they learn
more.
