to use vti with an 83 rom your 83 rom dump must be OS 1.12 or earlier, otherwise
VTI won't work.  If all you have are newer 83's with updated OS's you should be
able to download a 1.12 OS from the internet, install it on the calculator and
download the rom...then re-update the calculator once you've pulled the rom
off...

I have an 83 and an 89 rom dump on my laptop and use them in class with an
interwrite pad daily.
